There are plenty of structures that are not at their structural capacity and require structural retrofitting. The need for splendid infrastructure is rising on a day-to-day basis. As the structure gets old, steel along with the concrete tends to lose its strength and requires specialized treatment. Moreover, corrosion within concrete, entry of chloride or harmful chemicals or entry of water in RCC are the major reasons for depletion of strength within the concrete. Nevertheless, the deterioration of buildings also occurs due to unsatisfactory measures taken during the construction process or a great amount of load being exerted on existent structural members. Mentioned issues can have a devastating effect on the structural soundness of a structure as a structure might collapse if appropriate methods are not adopted. One way to avoid such a catastrophic situation is to adapt structural retrofitting methods such as implementation of FRP laminates, fibre wrap, injection grout, micro- concrete, polymer modified mortar, and necessary.
